LGBTQ* Care

In line with Stony Brook Medicine’s mission to deliver world class compassionate care to our patients, we recognize and celebrate the dignity of all persons by demonstrating genuine, respectful care to enhance the healing process.

We foster community, wellness, and an open and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ*) patients, faculty, trainees, staff and the larger community. We provide culturally sensitive, collaborative healthcare to address the needs of LGBTQ* individuals, including young people.

We also provide support, education and advocacy related to sexual orientation and gender identity.
