Devlopmental & Behavioral Pediatrics photo

Our developmental and behavioral pediatrics team consists of two Developmental Pediatrics subspecialist and one Developmental Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. All three professionals collaborate with other specialists and subspecialists within our academic medical center to seek the best possible outcomes for each child. In addition, we work with the child's family, school and other agencies to obtain the input necessary to address each patient's unique needs and problems.

About our Team

Victoria Maria Novoa Uriarte, MD, FAAP Division Chief of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics  Medical Director Early Childhood Clinic  L.E.N.D  Core faculty

Dr. Novoa is a Board-certified Developmental Pediatrician. Dr. Novoa did her pediatric residency at the Hospital de Niños Pedro de Elizalde, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Novoa completed a second residency in Pediatrics at Jacob Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, NY. She continued her training and completed a fellowship in Developmental-behavioral pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Novoa specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and developmental delays in early childhood.

Dr. Novoa is fluent in English and Spanish.

 

Danielle Macina, DO, FAAP  Clinical Assistant Professor of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

Dr. Danielle Macina is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician who completed her general pediatrics training and chief residency at Stony Brook Children’s and fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is interested in the diagnosis and treatment of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, and other common developmental and behavioral conditions.  

 

Cristin Gengler, CPNP-PMHS-CPT  Clinical Instructor

Cristin is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and is certified as a primary care mental health specialist. She graduated from Stony Brook School of Nursing in 2007 and followed up with a master's of science degree in 2011.  

As a nurse practitioner, Cristin collaborates closely with the division of developmental pediatrics supporting families and patients from a young age all through adolescence; her areas of interest include ADHD, medication management, and adolescent behaviors.
